GRADUATE COLLECTION 2009

Emma graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion and Textiles at Bournemouth University in 2009, with a letter of commendation.

About:

The collection combined style with a conscience. Quirky and sophisticated, the designs had a retro feel, using geometric shapes and an offbeat colour palette. The collection was produced using carefully sourced fabrics from pre and post consumer waste, which included factory offcuts, end of roll and reclaimed clothes, it also utilised wild peace silk, screen printed with Emma’s unique designs.

Exhibitions, Press and Awards:

Emma’s collection was selected as one of a small number to showcase at the prestigious Graduate Fashion Week held at Earls Court in London, the world’s leading event for fashion graduates. Emma took part in both the main fashion show and exhibition.

Emma was selected to take part in Bournemouth University’s (BU) Festival of Design & Innovation, where she won the top prize for design.Read the bournemouth uni press release.

The collection was showcased at the beautiful Salisbury Cathedral as part of an intimate fashion show put on in association with Wiltshire College fashion degree graduates, for special guests.
