Creative textiles practice and research

I am an artist, researcher, and mother to two daughters.

I live in Dorset, UK, with a studio at Sandy Hill Arts in Corfe Castle.

I hold a BA Honours in Fashion & Textiles (2009) and an MA in Textiles (2019) from Chelsea College of Art.

My practice is very much process driven, centering around craft-based textiles practices with a focus on fabric manipulation, print, dye and stitch. I engage in such processes for the connection they offer between material, body, time and space. I am interested in how working in this way offers me a chance to connect with and explore personal experiences.

I am currently undertaking a practice-based PhD entitled ‘Materialising the motherhood experience through textiles practice’.

I am a lecturer and workshop leader with experience teaching and delivering workshops and seminars to BA and MA students at University of West London; University of the Arts London, Chelsea College of Art; University of Creative Arts, Epsom. Please get in touch for more info.

I currently run a small number of workshops at my studio in Corfe Castle. CLICK HERE for more info.
